Invisalign, Inman Aligner and Six Month Smiles

14th February 2017

There are so many different ways to straighten your teeth that the number of options can be confusing. At Denchic Dental Spa, North London, braces are one of the treatments we can help you sort through until you feel comfortable with the level of knowledge you have about each method. This will mean you are able to make an informed decision about your own treatment. Some are only suitable for certain issues and we can advise you on this.

Invisalign

Invisalign is one of the great methods that we work with at our clinic in North London. Braces have come a long way and Invisalign are a perfect example of this. This method works with a set of removable aligners that come in a series. You work through the set at home, changing them as often as advised by one of our dentists. Invisalign are completely see-through, so they appear to be invisible when you are wearing them. You take your aligner out to eat and drink anything other than water. Cleaning your teeth before you put it back in prevents build-up of food or deposits on your teeth and the discoloration of your aligner.

Six Month Smiles

Six Month Smiles are fixed braces. In North London, at Denchic Dental Spa, we offer them to patients who want to work on the cosmetic appearance of their smile. They focus on the most visible teeth and, therefore, they only take a short while to get the results you want when compared to traditional braces. This method requires brackets and wires to be added to your teeth. These are clear and tooth-coloured for maximum discretion.

Inman Aligner

Perhaps our swiftest method for teeth realignment is the Inman Aligner with average treatment times in the six to 18 weeks range. This aligner is removable, although you will need to wear it for at least 20 hours per day.

You get a single aligner with this method, which uses a spring-based pressure system on the front and back of your teeth to encourage them to move. Many patients find that this method temporarily affects their speech but, as you get used to the presence of the aligner, this problem quickly corrects itself.
